Monday Mindset: Through, Not Around, it’s on YOU!
I’ll be real with you, I’m struggling to get through something right now. And I had to remind myself of a truth I’ve leaned on my entire life: there’s only one way, and that’s through.
It doesn’t matter how strong, successful, or “dialed in” you think you are. Life will always find a way to test you. Those tests don’t wait for the right conditions. They don’t pause while you gather support. They don’t care how much you’ve already been through.
And in those moments, the temptation is to wait. To hope someone comes to lift you up, to hope circumstances shift in your favor. But here’s the hard truth: you are entirely up to you.
Goals Don’t Stop for Anyone
Your goals don’t care about your excuses. They don’t care who doubted you, who flaked on you, or who turned their back.
People will either support you, or they won’t. That’s out of your control. What is in your control is whether you keep moving forward. And if you’re serious about high performance, the answer is always yes, you move forward anyway.
Progress belongs to those who show up regardless. The ones who train when they’re tired. The ones who send the email after the “no.” The ones who keep stacking small wins when no one is watching.
The Mindset to Move Forward
There are only three levers you can pull when everything feels heavy:
Discipline: Doing what needs to be done, not what you feel like doing.
Consistency: Showing up every day, especially when you’re not motivated.
Relentless Belief: Holding the line on who you said you were going to be, even when the results aren’t instant.
That’s it. That’s the engine. Everything else, support, applause, recognition, is fuel, but it’s not the power source. You are.
Through the Fire
When you choose to keep moving forward, even through pain, discomfort, or doubt, you’re building something deeper than momentum. You’re building identity.
And that identity becomes armor. The kind you can’t buy, can’t fake, can’t outsource. The kind that turns setbacks into stepping stones.
So here’s where I landed: either they’re with you, or you do it alone. Either way, it’s going to happen. Because the decision has already been made, you’re going through.
High Performance Playbook Takeaway:
Don’t wait for the path to get easier. Don’t wait for everyone to cheer. Move forward now, through the struggle, and you’ll realize the only way out has always beenstraight through.
