Be Decisive
More is lost with indecision than the wrong decision.
High performers understand this at a cellular level. They know that standing still is far more dangerous than moving in the wrong direction. A wrong decision at least gives you data. It gives you something to respond to, to correct, to adapt from. Indecision, on the other hand, gives you nothing but wasted time and regret.
The Danger of Standing Still
Picture yourself at a fork in the road. Go left and maybe you find yourself on a dead end. Go right and maybe you stumble into an unexpected opportunity. Either way, you’re moving forward. You’re gathering information. You’re building resilience.
But if you stay frozen at the intersection, waiting for perfect certainty, you lose both roads. Opportunities pass. Time slips. Your competitors, your peers, rivals, or even your own children who are watching you move forward while you stand still. That’s the danger of indecision: it looks safe, but it’s the riskiest choice of all.
The HPLT Origin
Launching HPLT was one of the clearest lessons in my life about decisiveness. If I hadn’t messaged David Goggins, if I hadn’t wired that first deposit, or most importantly if I hadn’t believed in myself, none of what exists today would have happened.
There was no blueprint, no perfect certainty, no guarantee that anyone would show up or care. But by acting, I created a movement that now lives inside Life Time, had the opportunity to reach millions, and changes lives. That never would have happened if I had waited for “more time” or “better circumstances.”
The truth? There is no perfect moment. There is only the decision to move.
